Pre-Amp Mounting Locations

I recently changed my Radio head Unit to a new one and decided to use an external Pre-Amp instead of getting a radio with an internal preamp. Now, I've seen most people put theirs inside their glove box but that isn't really working for me, so I'd like to know what places and mostly, what creative places you guys have tried and found good to place your pre-amps.

Edit: Pics are most welcome too!

No I mean the pre-amp. You might also know it as the equalizer since it usually has a built in equalizer. It divides the signal of 1 RCA for use on the rest of the amps.

If you refering to a equalizer then I have one of the 1/2 DIN ones, I flush mounted it into the pocket below the deck.
