Preferred head unit?

I have a four kenwood speakers, look brand new, however, I have no head unit. What would be a good head unit with usb charge and detachable face plate? Looking for cheap but I'll take anything you find. If you need any info, I can try and find out. I'm too lazy and tired to google, so I'd like to get some replies while I sleep.

Stop in at like your local eletronic store and see if they have any open box discount stuff generally you can find a pretty good deal just try and stay away from sony and jvc not the greatest in my opinion.

Okay. Radioshack is really the only electronics store around here. The rest are family owned businesses and I don't wanna go too far into town.

Yeah. I was leaning towards either this one, or this one. The second one is cheaper and nicer looking but does't have USB, only auxiliary and the more expensive one looks a little less appealing, but has USB and AUX.

I've had good luck with Clarion. I have an older unit in my 635CSi and just put a double DIN with bluetooth in my Civic. Love the bluetooth and full iPod/iPhone integration. I paid $175 on eBay, but retail is just under $300 plus install kit.

Pioneer also makes a very affordable unit with usb and aux in the front. It's a DEH-2200UB They sound good are easy to use and are reliable. The other headunits that you looked at are decent as well as the alpine and clarion that others were saying but alpine will probably run you a little more plus I think with alpine you have to use there ipod cable for the deck to recognize the ipod so they can take you for more money. Their cable has a resistor in line I beleive that causes this. You can modify a cable with a resistor though to get around buying one.

I got a really cheap head unit at Walmart. Only $150 in the clearance section. It has USB and memory card connections along with a small display. It even plays DVDs, although that's kind of silly on a display this small. Sounds OK and much louder than the stock radio.

I have the same one in my civic. I got the second 1 but it lights up in blue. I've had no problems with it. I've always liked kenwood head units.
