Pretty, but still slow

AEM CAI, mid-grade Pacesetter headers, Flowmaster PE, ASA 17" rims w/ Fuzion tires, Carbon Creations Supersport hood with hood pins.

I am the original owner of this 98 Civic EX Sedan. I bought it for my wife, but she has since taken over the 08 Pathfinder SE. I have been fixing it up the last 2 years. I just recently got a full paint/body job, put on a carbon fiber hood, and added both front and rear lights. I have an HID kit I still need to install. I have a Turbonetics kit on the way (I hope, because I already paid) to replace the CAI and headers. I haven't upgraded the engine internals so I won't go beyond 7 PSI. I hope to get between 200-225 HP and some more torque out of it, but I am not looking for a race car. My wife still has to be able to drive it. Alas, that is why it will remain an automatic. I've got bad news for you, your transmission is going to fall apart if you put that turbo kit on there and push any kind of power through it.

Honda Automatic transmissions do not hold well with increased in power. There really is no option for you other than swapping to a manual if you want to boost the car.

The auto trans will last on low boost unabused but it will defintly go out faster than a manual one depends on how much hp and torque the car is putting out. A friend of mine has a boosted automatic y8 and its fine as of now he has to have an auto from being injured in the war.

I am going down about 1.3 inches. I can't stand most spoilers, but maybe a carbon fiber one that is close to stock from a coupe. I have to keep the auto until I get a third car. My wife can't drive an auto and may need to drive my car in case of emergencies, especially with kids. I will get engine management and keep the boost low (7-8 PSI). Someday, I will upgrade internals, but for right now, I don't see the car at much more than 200 HP....if that. If the auto goes out, I will use that as my excuse to buy a new Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or Dodge Challenger. Then the Civic becomes my project car and my son gets it for high school one day years from now. Based on this, what new advice does anybody have.

based on that s**t id go red line the f**k out if it all day till something pops, get ur new car then use this as a project car and build the F out of it.. lol

but yah 200hp and that trans will blow for sure sadly.

Great for a start but those guys are right about the boost and I agree with civic fan up there, or better yet get ur new car, sell the auto tranny for like $200 and get a head start on some more mods lol

I like to go quick once in a while, but I won't be racing kids down at the railroad tracks. At 7 PSI, how long do I have? I would hope, I can get at least a year out of it. After that, drop the auto and build up the internals. I don't have a "heavy" foot; I just get a little frisky once in a while. Perhaps that will facilitate extending part life.
