Problem with my motor swap

Passenger window motor

So my passenger window has never gone down since I bought the car and I just now decided to tackle the project. I put in the new motor, lined up the glass and put in all the bolts and used the battery trick to test it out (this thing). It would go up and down when I did that but when I plugged in the switch it would only go up and made no noise when I pressed the switch down.


What could be some problems? i'm probably gonna go get another switch tomorrow and try that first but I wanted to get some other ideas

What made you think the original problem was the window motor and not the switch all along? Did you test the old motor before hand? Use a multimeter to test the resistance in the switch on the up and down cycles.
