i have a greddy kit on a 93 civic.

my boost guage is only showing 2.5 psi...and the vaccum pressure at idle looks around 8-9. people are sayin the vaccum pressure should be higher, so im thinking there is something wrong.
the psi should be greddy kit is set at , 5 or 5.5 , whatever it is.

ALSO, i got the greddy type S BOV and its not really loud at all. the kit came with aluminum piping, and i got steel flange *DOH* so they welded the BOV onto the ic piping(steel), it is pretty much where the filter of a CAI would be. could that be another reason why its not as loud as people say it should be and does it function right where its placed, or should i get it moved asap

any info/help would be greatly appreciated

haha they welded it onto the pipe.. well honestly it could be anywhere though best spot is 18inches from teh tb opening.
i had a aluminum flange too, cuz i had the opp u had i had to make myself a steel flange

have you checked for vac leaks? this is prob what could be your biggest problem
check for leaks all all teh couplines and all teh vac lines

also make sure you adjust teh bov

but be more worried about the leaks now
at idle vac you should be at like 20hz....

its definately a vacuum leak...most common reason for not being able to boost...either that or a boost leak. your vacuum should be right around 18 on the gauge at idle. i dont think it should matter where the bov is..the closer to the throttle body the better. boosting 2.5 psi no blow off valve will be loud. Just check, double check, and triple check all your vacuum lines. If its a bad leak you should be able to hear it like a mofo...sounds like sucking air..(go figure)
