So yeah I took today as a car day and as one of the things i hooked up my a/f gauge, just part of gettin rdy for that boost =) Anyway, I grounded the black wire, hooked the red wire into a power source and connected the violet wire into the at least what i thought was the THICK WHITE WIRE coming from the ecu. Well correct me if im wrong, but ill be cruising around and the gauge will go back and forth from lean to rich constantly..unless I slow down, then it shuts off. While ideling it reads rich for a little bit and then jumps around again. I do have a fpr and its set to 40 psi. I understand that i could be a little rich, but I still think I mightve hooked up the wire wrong because it cant get a good reading..please help?

would it help at all to hook it directly into the o2 sensor? I mean whats the point in having one if you cant even read it :?

the narrow band is going to do nothing but make the lights dance back and forth. But if you want a clean signal you need to tap the wire as close to the o2 sensor as possable without melting any wires

thats what its supposed to do. The a/f ratio is always changing from rich to lean. If you let off the gas it will probably turn off or go way lean and if you stomp in the gas it should go straight to rich and not move as long as you have the gas pinned down. Mine does the same thing, I thought it was weird at first to but then you start to understand it.

thats why you need a wideband o2 sensor
