Problems!!

Ok, I got some major issues with my Civic ex d16y8. Well driving, but mostly while im accelerating, my engine will die, rpms drop to 0 as if i cut the key off but the power is still on. If I down shift while this happens rpms still at 0, but it sounds like my car is still running. it acts as if the car is running the rpms go up( but not on the dash) you can hear the exhaust as if i down shifted but no engine power. Car will not fire right back up, has to sit for about 10 to 30 mins before it will crank again. When I turn the key I hear the fuel pump engage and I hear the main relay click. I just replaced the fuel pump with a Walbro 190 lpm fuel pump thinking it was the problem but does the exact same thing with that pump as well. put it on a scanner. p0505 comes up. i already replaced the iacv twice and the that code wont go away to save my life. plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and fuel filter are only 5 months old. New Catalytic converter, Magnaflow, replace O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1. I dont know what else to do other than roll the b***h into a river and call it a f**kin day!! Can anybody help without me having to take this to a dealer??????:twisted:

Also check fuel pump relay it can still be defective when its warm the internal board solder might be separating .causing a no start .
Resolder board or replace relay.

When the engine won't start, check for spark at all 4 spark plugs. Spark should be bright white. If there's no spark or weak spark (orange, yellow, dark blue), then have an auto parts store test the ICM and you resistance test the coil (both inside the distributor). Also do a general inspection of the distributor internals (cap and rotor).

P0505 is a separate problem. PM JohnS. He can tell you how to fix that code.
