Hey guys,
i've been a shadow around the boards for a while school is always busting my ass so not all of the funds can go into the civic But here we go from start (oct '02 to now).
Concept for the car i wanted to get, (ignorant 17 year old, sharing a car with his mom). After crashing a '63 Plymouth Valliant my mom wanted somethign we could both drive and I had been eyeing civics for a while.
We started off bone stock, complete with racing stripe (lol), D16 auto :/ plans for a b18b swap and c5 head minime as the time goes on...anyways. I never got into the whole ricey body kit scene, from as far as i could remeber i wanted to keep a stock sleeper look then i discovered lips! so exciting lol.
Step one (After stereo) DIY clear headlights. (During which my brother slammed my hood with the hood support up, runing my hood and fender, so a 99 front end is being saved for)
Civic Si Style 4DR Red/Clear Tails // Removed LX Badge
Civic SI Wheels with Kumo 205/55/15 tires. + 35 % Tint on the Front 2 windows (the rear and back sides came tinted around 15%)
So i was offroading it for a week or so then my KYB AGX and Tein S-Techs came in the mail and i was ready to DIY install them ah!
Laptop out there with the service manual open LOL.
After many afternoons and practicing, the shocks and struts came, i took them to Brake Masters to diassassemble the old shocks/struts and then put them in. (Note to others, Jack stands on asphalt drive way leave nasty marks esp in the afternoon). I ended up overtorquing the nuts on top of the struts because the car sat uneven and i didn't give it time to settle in, no biggie they just can't come off without a shop.
Sweeeeet Drop
DIY CTR Headlights
DIY TYPE R GRILL (~$20 in supplies) and Mugen Styylee Lip (unpainted so far)
Night shots, before I did an intense wash and polish. Painted Chrome trim around doors Black, Removed racing stripe.
Then to catch up to now, i backed into an Integra so i'm looking for a 99 rear and 99 rear type r lip
Upcomming: 99 Front End (To Replace damaged bumper, chipping grill, sunlight damaged headlights, dented hood and fender), 99 Mugen Lip, redo DIY CTR Headlights. (the 99 has a lot better ground effects i feel).
Then for engine work we have an INJEN SRI, and Regrounded Engine.
Upcomming Engine: b18b non-vtec swap, auto to manual swap, then b18c5 minime head swap, then turboed at around 11psi on the strong internals of the B18b DONT FLAME ME i haven't done all of my research yet. (Thanks Sightless ). Since i'm gonan swap no reason to do more engine work for now. Front strut, and sway bars in the workings.
So there we are what do you think! Thanks in Advance.
