PRO's VS. CON's ABOUT NOS??

what are the Pros and Cons of running Nos on your engine????

Pros :
1. Cheapest way to make a respectiable amount of power.

Cons
1. That cheap power is temporary.
2.Gets expensive in teh long run. (refilling the bottle)
3. Abuse can leave you walking home from teh track.
4. If used in large amounts and your engine is not properly built or tuned it could leave you walking home.

Just remember this. Nitrous is one of the safetest and cheapest ways to make that additional 20-40-etc amount of hp & tq. But once you start refilling that bottle, $20 here, $20 there, $20, $20 and so on. Its gets expensive.

Also abuse of nitrous WILL leave you walking home. With a bill to building a new motor.

Cheap initial cost
"instant power"
Purge =)
look rice..... i mean nice

Cons:

Illegal in most states
Expensive refills
Can hurt an engine if not used right
Temporary power gains

WHATS UP TODD!!!! yea i know, thanks for the laugh, all the cc members started coming to ci so i though I would come over here and start some drama, but ci is still my home, I don't think i'll post three or four times a day here unless you bam me from ci.

Be careful with NOS dude.. don't wanna blow up your gallow engine. It's hard to get those overnight parts from Japan.

hehe, i'm just f**kin with you... But it's Nitrous. NOS is a brand name.

Don't listen to them. I use a 120 shot on my D16A6, 120k mile, stock bottem end crx all day.

Pros: Power! Instant glorious power
Cons: It's far from idiot proof.
If you are using it to beat an 8 cylinder domestic, he could just as easily have it as well.
Cheap dry systems just pinch off the fuel supply to increase fuel pressure

pro: awesome hp/tq gains for a reletivly low price

cons: bottle refills can get expensive if your a nitrous whore

theres a kid that lives by me that thinks that same theory.. but he just cant figure out why he ends up wasting motors after a while.. :lol:

I melted my valve then scored the cylinder walls and when it finaly knocked and grinded and started to smoke realy bad at that point i decided to stop the race. 150 direct port on a on a triple turbo superchared electic turbo carburated kia rio. it still did the 1/4 mile in 19 sec it was fun
