Usually you have to buy an input adapter seperatly. Check out ebay, they usually cost about $10 plus shipping and make your cd changer uplink on your head unit into audio inputs. It's not a hack or anything, the manufacturers just make it that way. I had a pioneer deck and after adding the adapter the unit automatically recognized and allowed me to switch to and tweak the audio input mode.

I have the second one for my pioneer. Yours is the second one also because it's a pioneer IP Bus connector. It basicaly plugs in where a CD changer would plug in on the back of ur deck. Do you know the model # for your cd player?

:werd: thats what i used for my satlite radio

your headunit should have a BLUE rectangle IP BUS in the back

To be able to select the AUX input, you must turn off the pioneer deck, hold in the FUNCTION or display key for about 4 seconds and scroll over to AUX input, the default for most units is off, switch it on, then turn the radio back on, and when you hit the source button you should tehn have 3, radio, cd, aux

it should have worked, depending on the model cd player you have, READ THE MANUAL, or have someone else do it for you, dont blame us for your mistakes :what:

whats the model # i can probably get you one
Yeah Pioneer has so many different units and it's hard to tell exactly what you need to do without a model number. what he said is exactly how mine is. You have to turn on the aux input because the way the CD player is set from Pioneer it is off.

its easy to do on a pioneer, simply turn the unit off, hold function for like 3-5 sec and a menu will pop up continue to hit function until you get to aux and simply turn it to "ON" then hit the source button and turn the radio on and hit source until you get to "aux" and wala your done, i believe the input cable is cd-rbd-20

*edit* just read that someone told you what i just did OH WELL
