So I just got some custom kick panels for component speakers, the problem is there not pre-cut for speakers.................
What am I suppose to use?? Never had to cut holes for anything b4. Can I gotto Home Depot or sears and pick something up?

Now as for tweeters, anyone have any suggestions? I see they sell some with crossovers and some without. Is the crossover needed?

Well if you got components, I would think it would have come with crossovers and tweeters. IMO I would use a dremel to cut out the holes in your new kickpanels. Good luck.

Let us know how it turns out. If I'm not mistaken they are like $150 a pair. They say it gives off better imaging then stock locations.

a dremel will work fine just remember to cut small first...you can always make it bigger if necessary. Post pics when your done I'm interested in the kickpanels as well. good luck

Thanks alot boys!!! went out and bought a nice dremal kit for about 80 bucks.....
Turned out pretty well took about 3 hrs, made a hell of a mess cutting the plastic. The only thing I lost the clips the holds the panels into the floor, but I figured out how to keep it in tac for now.

Another thing is I just went out and bought Tweeters, and hooked it up with the speakers I already had in my panels. The speakers I had were 4-way, plus now I have these nice tweeters, Its kicking up some pretty high ass notes. The tweeters I bought didn't come with crossovers sooooo does it matter? It sounds GOOD! Just alittle ear peircing. Should I get rid of the 4-way panel speakers, and put in a 2-way to even it out with the Tweeters?

???? so whats better? a b or c?

C is best, closest to equal distant at the drivers seat, so it will sound better, its like standing at the center of a surround system, vs. standing on one of the walls.

eh, I didn't buy the q-logics b/c I didn't want to spend $150. But yes, pic C is the better imaging set up. My components are set in stock locations. Sounds good though. Def post up some pictures.

You couldn't have done that bad of a job. The kick panel just sets into the stock location and you pop in the speaker. It should look and sound great. Oh, but I think that the new panel interferes with the stock floor mats.

My 6.5 inchs fit very tight aswell. I almost couldn't put the covers on the speakers. I'm installing them tomorrow so i'll take some pictures. I got off my lazy ass and cut out my second one today and installed the speakers into the kick panel. Does your year civic come with kick panels stock? Or is it like the older civics with just carpet stuffed into the corners?
