Whats up guys, I have a 97 Civic Ex with at aftermarket CD player but I still have the OEM tape player near the cup holders. Ive seen on other civics it has a cubby/tray where my tape player is. What is that thing called and where can I get one. Thanks.

it comes stock in a lot of civics, search ebay im sure you will find one, you can either get a 96-98 cupholder with pocket (has a cup holder cover) or a 99-00 one with a pocket (no cover)

no...you can buy just the pocket ....you dont have to buy the whole console
Go to a stereo shop and buy a metra universal pocket. It is a single din fit that in the honda you can use tyhe brackets holding in the tape player or you can use the pressure fit clips. It comes with three different snap on lips so it looks 99% stock.
I think the number of the kit is 99-00-9000
but if you have to have stock honda, chase it down on e bay, a waste of time if you ask me. Go to bestbuy and you will have the project done today

i just got a generic one...friend bought it for his 97 impreza..but i custom made it into mine

Eran's selling a '99-'00 single DIN pocket and we also have a '96-'98 single DIN pocket that we don't need. The '96-'98 single DIN is made for factory placement in the lower DIN unit. Cars with the factory slave tape deck or CD player don't have the pocket of course.
