Question about the guage bulbs

im going to do a DIY SI guages and i was wondering which bilbs are for the needles and which bulbs are for the guages i know im going to need 1 #194 and 4 #74 bulbs, im guessing the # 194(big bulb) is for the needles? help anyone, thanks

The needlss are lit up by #74 bulbs (atleast thats what Ive been told). Theyre uptop on the front side of the cluster. Your gonna have to take out that plastic that gives the needle's the soft blue color

yeah im trying to do some diy amber guages but only the 194's come in amber i cant find any 74 in anything other than the oem

in autozone buy the amber #24 bulbs. i used them and they worked just fine

24 and 74 are different though, i dont get how you could use both on the same socket
