Question About These Ebay Turbo Kits

Like the title says are these kits any good? I know most ebay stuff is junk but some of it looked pretty good for a starter kit. I am not trying to make like 600whp or anything like that. A good 240-300whp is good enough for me for being street driven. I already have plans to make the motor stronger to hold boost. So check this out and tell me what you think.

seems fishy to me, that price seems to low. It looks like your standard rebuilt turbo so the snail is prolly good but I would suspect cheap materials and shoddy workmanship on all the welded parts. Buy at your own risk or go on ht and see if anyone bought one of these.

i bought a turbonetics kit from jstone racing on ebay and i think thats the person or company that has xs turbo kits and the only thing i had trouble out off was my down pipe was shity but other than that i say buy it, if you buy it and dont want the bov i'll buy it from you hahahahah.

Everyone has their own opinion and personally I wouldn't buy it because They're cheaply made imo. If you want to go the cheap route just piece your own kit together and for piping just have your s**t custom made. I went the juckyard kit route and only spent around $1200 cash money That's for everything tho, fuel pump, tuning, traction bar etc......

Yeah I thought about piecing the kit together myself. To me the in the kit the couplings and clamps look cheap, which I can replace easily. As far as the piping it looks good, I mean piping is piping in my opinion. Little sketchy on the manifold, I think that may have problems, and the turbo isn't the size I am looking for but it is a good starter. Plus I believe it carries a 1yr warranty and you can't get that from a junk yard kit. Who knows, more opinions would help

hmm...if i had the money i would get it....doesnt look to bad....the turbo says to be a garrett so thats good....the manifold looks nice...but u cant tell by looks.....idk....goodluck and let us know how it works out....i say get it....

but then again....u can prolly build ur own kit for way cheaper....all up to u....i guess it depends on money lol

i have heard nothing good about ssac and thier kits..i have seen some nasty pictures of blown manifolds and turbos, but i also dont know how the person drove it..just wanted to tell you what i have heard..good luck

i wouldnt get it,i bought a vecco performance kit off of ebay and i ended up with my first turbo having blown oil seals,the downpipe was a joke and the bolts had the wrong threads. Ive heard alot about the ss auto chrome manifolds cracking. you get what u paid for and that kit is cheap

From seeing it in person,its a really good kit for the price.My buddy bought one about 6 months ago.Im running a XS Power exhaust manifold and front mount on my GST and i have no problems with it,neither does he.I plan on getting the exact same set up for my B16.The only thing is there trubos tend to burn oil after a while,I would try to get a different more high end turbo sell the one that came with the kit or just run that for a little while and ull be good,thats what i plan on doing.You should defintely get it even if u have to get a different turbo its still a good deal and good quaity

oh and get a different blow off valve,it come with a trubo X RFL,they leak boost so they suck get a HKS SS,Greddy or Blitz

I have been reading a lot on making my own kit and I am really worried about the turbo and manifold. To me these two parts are the biggest. So I don't plan on going cheap with these two parts. The intercooler and piping I am going to piece together and I plan on getting a good blow off valve and wastegate. I have a chipped p28 that I chipped at work and since I work at an electronic manufacturer me and a programmer are going to run Uberdata on the chipset. He came up with some good ideas of how to switch between different maps for track uses and normal driving. Plus I have a friend running about the same kit I want to run and he has a chipped dyno tuned p28 using uberdate. He had it professional tuned so I am plan on copying his program off of his chip and burning on to my Eprom in the p28. I know all setups and motors are different but this will give me a good starting point before I go get dyno tuned. THe ecu and programming is the easy part for me, I just had questions on piecing a turbo kit together. Thanks for the input and I plan on going with a good turbo from garrett(most likely) THe reason I wanted to ask is cause I have some change (money) to spend and I wanted to get the best for my money and not buy some name brand kit that doesn't meet my needs.

I like the ramhorn that keeps AC yeah I know lose the AC but I can't I love IT I sweat like a mexican running from the border patrol....no offense bizoneoeh hahah just playing
