I was just working on my car today and saw this. I guess i always just assumed my car was an ek.. I feel like a real idiot posting this now though... Does this mean its an ej6?

Yessir. the USDM d16y7 = EJ6, however EK is basically slang for a 6th gen civic, especially a hatch like yours. So you arent too terribly off

Youll see that EK's are the JDM version of the 6th gen hatch.

ej6's only came on dx's with uses the non-vtec y7 motor
if you have a y8, maybe motor swapped? or check if all your vins match..but then you have a hatch so its most likely a ej6 body with a ej8 motor

Yea... i didnt know what the hell to think... I thought the y8 only came vtec but apparently i was either wrong or it has a non vtec head on it.
