I have a 95' civic EX and i found a jdm type-r shift boot on ebay that will fit a civic EK9. my question is, does anyone know if a Ek9 is my model in japan or is it one of the others? and if it is, which one?

Welcome to the CLUB!

an EK9 is just a civic type r.. and the only civic type AAARRR's are hatchbacks... and yes it will fit

To second that, yes it will fit. It will also fit many other models of Civics or integra's with some modification.

you guys dont know what u r talking about an ek9 is the chassis code for all civics 1996 to 2000. not just hatchbacks.
and also 1992 to 1995 is an eg chassis code look it up before you try to attack my statement. and there would be no modification to put in a shift boot from an ek to an eg
its not a motor swap guys its held in by metal clips and 10 to 12 screws they r almost the exact same. shift boots are almost completely universal in any car if you dont believe me go back to poop boys or auto zone and ask them. its a civic u can put a h22 in a crx how difficult could a shift boot be to put it on a forum???

yes, ek is the chassis code, but "ek9" is the code for the civic type-r, which was only offered as hatchback. just like how eg is the code for 91-94 civics in japan, but "eg6" is the code for the hatchback SiR. get what im saying, if you say you have an ek9, then you better have a CTR. if you say eg6, then you better have a SiR hatch. if not, then you have a regular ek or eg civic.
