I just bought a 98 honda civic ex 2 door coupe. having an issue with fuel gauge saying full after 3 days of driving back and forth to work. if i un plug cluster and move needle by hand then re connect and turn key on it peaks back up to full. wondering also where ground 552 is located?? im new to hondas and am hoping to be a owner for life. i appreciate anyones help and thank you!!

Hey as far as your gas gauge not working it could be a few things, 1. bad connection 2. bad sending unit 3. bad gauge.... I would check out your connections first and make sure everything is tight and secure and nothing is moving around. ESPECIALLY around your sending unit. For your sending unit there should be three wires, BLACK (ground) YELLOW/BLACK (fuel gauge) YELLOW/RED (low fuel light)... check and see if all of this is secure. If all of this is secure and and there are no burnt or cut wires then move onto your gauge and check to see if it is working. If it is moving back up after you manually move it then it sounds like it is working, but check to be safe. If its your sending unit then pull it out and go ahead and spend the $80 to fix it... or just watch your miles and fill up after so many. And im not sure what you mean by ground 552... sorry I couldn't help there but I hope the rest helps =) GOODLUCK
