so my killswitch broke this morning. SO i had to rip off the switch, and directly connect the 2 wires together. Well the wires are 2ga, and connect to the fuel pumps 12v.

Now since there is a large hot open wire on my drivers seat, is there ANY possiblitiy for it to start something on fire? im going to run to walmart on the way home to get another switch after work, but right now i have them both seperated, but am a bit worried

as long as it doesnt ground out or spark you should be fine.....

but that's a horrible gamble to take, go wrap that thing in electrical tape until you get a new switch on there

well the problem is this, It was on the way to work, i have no tape, and I have no tools either. Its in a very remote location, which requires alot of tools to gain access to. I was able to seperate both wires, and put a small amount of used electrical tape on one end, but im afraid on the wires heating up somehow in the mean time while its parked.

Im more worried about my fuel pump burning out since the pump primed about 100 times when I was trying to seperate the wires.
