raced my first mustang today!

i was cruising around and what did i happen to find... a 5.0 of course. the vid is real short cause it was a quick race for fun. this guy was real cool he gave me thumbs up for beatn him and then we pulled over and talked turned out he was doin a jdm h22 into a coupe but the coupe got totaled and he works with my best friends.
hehehe you can hear my friend in then end be like i'm f**ked up (muscle relaxant pills ) thats why he didnt filmn very good.

thanks for compliments everybody. i can only chirp 2nd with this stock clutch but it grips 3rd nice. soon i will get a stage 2 or 3 act clutch. when i was gettn up to him to race i saw the 5.0 on the side and was like hmm dont wanna take the chance of loosing so i sprayed. it was fun to get to race a mustang finally and one with a cool owner at that. we shook hands and said nice race and left after we had talked.

lol, depends on what year you're racing. from what i've heard, i think, the late 90's models were slow, but I hear the newer one's run high 13's. right? anyways, i'm sure you know that. dont get me wrong, i'm a big import fan, but probably most of these kills are not the 13s...oh, and good kill by the way johnny .

I didn't know a 5.0 would run a mid 13 stock. But, i guess you do learn something new everyday

At least give some accurate info. No stock 5.0 is going to hit mid 13's stock. Maybe mid-low 14's.

I beat a auto 5.0 convertable with my sir a few weeks ago was pretty proud of my car considering when we pulled off the lights the guy was laughing at me thinking he was gonna win then I beat him it was great made the kill even better

heh yea ive been keeping my camera in my car nowadays and finally got another race filmed.

I haven't raced a 5.0 yet but I love zex to. I have some juice in my ride.

Actually I am going off of what i saw at carlsbad (so cal track). I watched a yellow 86 lx run three runs the fisrt run he hit a 13.7 second was 13.5 and the final was 13.9. your probably wondering how i know it was a stock motor, well actually i bought the motor from him two weeks after that and the only mod he had was an intake he also had slicks this was a daily driver full interior minus the ashtray and cig lighter. you have a 00 gt and you think the 5.0's are slow? funny s**t is everyone i know would take a 5.0 over a 4.6 in their mustang hands down because they are much stronger than the 4.6. Dont take it like I am trying to talk s**t on you or your car I'm just justifying what i said

Yes, i have a 2000 GT and i'm saying the 5.0's are slow. They have some amazing potential, but stock, they are slow.

The 4.6 can be built up to handle just as much power as the 5.0 can. Personally i'm not a huge fan of the fox body style and the 94-95's just wouldn't do. I'll put my 4.6 against your 5.0 anytime.

mid 13's with slicks, exhaust, and an intake, maybe, but that isn't stock.

Also, you sure he didn't have any suspension work, built tranny, or rear end? He was running slicks, so i doubt it was his first time out and he had been into the speed thing for a decent amount of time. Most that end up going to the track and running slicks do some suspension or rear end upgrades, which would also not qualify him as stock.

So, since you have the guys motor you should have no problems breaking well into the 13's, so lets see those time slips.
