Before to many people start posting. I'll tell you what everyone else is going to tell you. Are you using any type of roll cage/bar with your harness? If not, you are asking for more harm then good. I use to think that was the proper way to install a harness with a race seat, but boy was I wrong. Search through these forums, you will see 100s of posts and arguements about how to properly use a harness.

I know I'm getting a harness this winter, but I'm also getting the Autopower bar with the harness bar to install it correctly. good luck!

When I do Harness installs for people, when I run the rears, I'll run one side to the belt buckle bolt and the other side to the seatbelt bolt.
For the fronts, I would run them to the back 2 bolts of the front seats, keeping the 45-55 degree angle that's properly needed. I'll see if I have some pics from some of my previous installs, to get you a better feel of what it should look like.

Also, are you installing, bolt in or snap in?
