Radar detector features

So I get out of the military next month a driving from Florida back to Cali. So im getting a radar detector, nothing expensive, but what features should I look for in them, anything special. Im not looking for anything expensive as I have other things I have to buy for this trip. Will an expensive one from wal-mart do the trick juss for the trip or big brand?

the walmart ones are actually very nice......s**t i bought mine from ebay for 14 bucks and it works perfectly

i picked up my cobra from pete and have been nothing but happy with it, works great, and couldnt beat the price

not sure of the model number, but it does just about everything, except the new Ku band.. i think it does POP guns too... anyway, pete will hook you up right

yah, i think just the radar unit itself retails round 300-400$. i haven't been at all upset
with mine. works like a charm, plus i got the concealer unit and extras for like 300$
from a buddy.

cobras are pretty good, but i favor valentines or passport escorts.
