Radar Detector

I just bought a Beltronics express 925 and I don't know how to operate it. When I pass by a cop it doesn't even go off. Does anyone know how to work this thing? I will appreciate it. thanks.

Ummm....maybe they are not running radar when you pass. Or they are not using their LIDAR on your car. With LIDAR you have to have your car shot with the laser or catch an EXTREMELY lucky bounce off another car

That and the 925 is a rather low end unit

I see....thanks. Do you know what band I'm suppose to have it on? I put it on X band but there is like numbers 1,2,3,4 so I don't know what number to put.

It should automatically receive X, K, Ka, and Ka wideband. You shouldn't have to preselect which band.

I tried to download the owners manual but I don't have adobe reader at work and I/T gets their panties in a bunch when I add programs.

If you turn off the CITY filtering you should get at least an X band (possibly a low level K) signal from things like the automatic door opener at a grocery store.

it only works when they turn on their radar
i had a valentine one radar too and that didnt work most of time except when they turned on their
radar.. valentine one was a great radar though

Yea....earlier today it finally went off. X band and then when I was at wal mart the K started to go off....I was like what the f**k is that for and the closer I got to the door the louder it was and faster. so I was wondering what the KA was so now I know. Thanks CC members.

Cops can easily tell if you have a radar jammer and will pull you over even if you aren't speeding.

You gotta go with a scrambler, those are the best.
Even if they do get you, there's a good chance that it won't hold up in court, because they have no evidence.
