About a week ago my radio would flicker on and off when i would brake or just randomly. I have a Amp and subs installed, and the amp does not turn on when the car starts. I check the fuzes and none of the are blown and now my radio wont even turn on.

Any ideas? Im not good with cars so if you could spare the technical terms that would help.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have a bad connection. If you have a faulty connection on the head unit that would mean that the amp wouldn't turn on as it is what tells the amp to turn on. Make sure all of your connections to the head unit are good.

also, are you using a headunit with a detachable face? if so, the flickering maube from dirty connections.

try cleaning the metal contacts on the face plate and the radio with some alcohol. put some on a q-tip and swab the metal parts.

Also check where they are spliced, not just where they plug into the head unit. You might have a loose splice that is losing contact temporarily. Also see if the ground is spiced to a wire that is bolted to something metal. It may be possible that the bolt or screw is loose.
