so the other day i was jus ridin along and a harley davidson f-150 came up next to me and reved it up real loud tryin to race me(cus im in a civic)...i can never put down a race, so we went and i pushed it as hard as i could at least tryin to keep up wit him and by the time i redlined 4th and was at about 105mph, my radio started getting really scratchy and eventually just started to cut off. i stopped at the nearest gas station and tried to plug up all the wires thinkin one might b loose but they seemed to b str8. so i dunno wut it is. like my subs still kinda hit to the music but the speakers hooked up to the radio are either all scratchy or there just not on at all. does anybody kno wut this couldof been? did my radio mayb hav a power surge? and if i got a new cdplayer would that fix it? oh also i hav a xplode cdplayer and all different speakers. any input is greatly appreciated.

Um.. hmm. Maybe it got a power surge? Maybe your battery was a bit low as you were driving the alternator sent a surge tot he battery in turn sending a surge to your system. Your dash lights and radio would of lit up a bit too. Did you notice that? Prob not what with controlling all of those 106 horses. lol jk.

Did you check the wires? I know you said plugs, but how bout the actual wires? You can check with a AA battery. If you dont know how, just find a wiring diagram of your car, find all your speaker wires, and touch the positive side of the speaker to the positive side of the battery, and do the same with the negative. If you hear noises every and each time you put the wires onto the battery, your wiring *should* be fine, but you cant really tell unless you visually look your entire wiring.

If it was a power surge, just reset your ecu. Remove your car battery connection and let sit for about 10mins or so.
