radio static HELP

i get alot of radio static and very poor reception. what can i do to reduce this? im not very familiar with electronics and radios and all... i have an alpine headunit and some tweeters. not really looking to upgrade, but want to actually listen to music and not have any static. please help. thanks

Are you sure that the antenna lead is connected to the HU?

Yup, do what he said. Do you get any reception or is it bad all the time?

i get decent reception... it just static at curtain times. and randomly for seconds at a time.

um..pull out radio..check the antena port..(all the way to the right usally) make sure not loose..could also b bad cuz the area ur in..

yeah my em1 radio gets poor reception too... and my antenna is in all the way
