is there any reason why the wiring harness for the stock am/fm radio would be different than whats in the service manual? i hooked a new radio up and have no power. the service manual lists a color for the wire directly to the batt but i dont have that color wire. the rest are correct. im not an electrician, but i generally have no problems hooking up radios. i cant get power to the new radio.:x all fuses appear to be ok. thanks

usually you need a harness between the Honda harness and the radio. I know I needed two one for the kenwood and one to the factory. I could have spliced but didn't feel like it. For me, it was all color codes. I believe the 3 needed for power are red, yellow and black (gnd).

check the wires with a multimeter. You might have a short or open on one of those lines.

ok, in case someone does a search down the road, i wanted to say what was wrong. i feel like an ass, but i really didnt pay attention to the wiring scematic. there is a fuse box inside the car AND a fuse/relay box under the hood. my blown fuse was under the hood. replaced and now have a functional radio. every car i have ever owned has both, but it never crossed my mind.
