K all the sudden, I take corners normally and/or over a small bump.. and my stereo deck and system will go into the dash about 4 inches. Everything is hooked up normally, but is there something I can do or is my stereo being a total derp?

sounds like you need to remount the radio within the mounting cage / sleeve

no...there should be tabs on the left and right side of the cage. remove that radio, bend the tabs in a little more and slide the radio back in place. it sounds like that tabs aren't as tight on the radio as they should be

you should be able to iso mount it, its in your civic right? that would be way better than a sleeve
the brackets on the civics do not line up properly and the opening still requires a dash kit and there is still a gap. the best looking mount is still a cage mount

guess ive never run into that, when i put the double din in my em1 i had to shave the trim ring but it iso mounted and when i had my single din deck in there the trim ring popped right on it.... if anything you can use some back strap also to reinforce the back of it so it doesnt have so much pressure on the mounting tabs too

when i did my double din, i used the kit that iso mounts to the radio and snaps into the climate control housing, and then used a couple of factory mounting holes to reinforce, but even then not all the holes lines up

Hm. It's still not working.. I even used duct tape. FUUUUU.

Might just end up mounting it deeper

is your radio the kenwood in the double din mounting kit? (saw a pic on your build thread)if it is, is the radio falling out of the mounting kit or is the whole mounting kit falling into the dash?

The radio is sitting ontop of the place where I store my cds inside some metal cage thing with no back, that is screwed into the whole area. I'll get you guys some pics tomorrow.. it'll make it 10x easier.

Hi! I Bought an Honda Civic Coupe 2006, and I need to decode the stereo. I've checked all the part of the car, and I can´t find the code. The only thing I have is the VIN number.

I live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and I would appreciate any help you can offer
