Re-engined!

Here it is, the new motor, a 1995 D15B8, only 69K miles!

My uncle installed it, only cost me $575.00, including installation, new plugs, clutch, oil, antifreeze, all engine accessories, spare plug wires/dizzy cap, spare o2 sensor, and radiator cap. runs GREAT.

He also took out the old motor. He took the head off and found it was extremely warped and also had a crack

ouch, coulda got a much better motor for that much money....

but it'll be reliable as f00k, and i'm guessing you didnt buy a 70hp motor with performance in mind...

No, I don't have full ownership of the car yet (rents pay for insurance) so they wanted an original replacement. Yes the intake tube is funny i agree, but I have my ram air on it now. Plus the uncle is close with my dad so he would only put in what they told them to. No complaints though, it's not like its geo metro slow or anything, I don't mind it too much at all.

Damn man that sux they wouldn't let you hook it up! I mean at least a d15b7!! At least you would have the 16V motor!! Oh well thats cool!! At least you got a new motor with low miles that get KICKASS Gas milage!!
