I searched and only found right ups on 5th Gens, Can anyone help?

How much Fabric do I need?

How many screws do I need?

etc...

Also on DIY amber cluster should I use red or orange paint?

Thanks

I would say orange paint for the cluster although the bulbs are pretty cheap themselves, as far as the door panels just look at them and measure, it shouldn't be that difficult

If you are going to use vinyl a square yard per insert would probably be more than enough.
Also, a very easy way to make sure the vinly fits perfectly is to use a heat gun (they are like $25 at Home Depot- not pricey and very useful). Drape the material over the panel and slowly work the gun over the vinyl, moving steady to heat the vinyl up. It will slowly take shape of the panel. Once you let it cool off, remove the panel, apply whatever glue you are going to use, then put the vinly back. Work the vinly onto the panel then once it is done heat it up again, tugging at the edges to remove any creases, etc.

And things of this nature.

A square yard of any type of material would probably cover each piece with no problem. Most fabric dealers sell by the yard btw. I wouldn't use a heat gun with fabric though :P

Post pics and good luck :D

edit: 1 square yard per insert... so four inserts = four square yards

i used a yard and a half for both doors (not each)....but i only did the arm rests...the vinyl is something i dont want to tackle...i got mine from an arts and crafts fabric place....cheap...make sure and use lots of spray glue...3M is pretty good stuff...

There is already a 6th gen write up on this....
Or atleast I thought.. I know for a fact that Sk8teshorty017 has done this already and he made a thread about it.. I would try looking for it..

But anyways, ive already done the reupholstry on the doors, and its easy:
The cloth pieces are held in with adhesive. Just take a screwdriver or something and pry up an end and pull the rest off. Measure and cut the new fabric to fit the old piece you pulled off and use 3M spray adhesive to spray it back on..

I know it was said above, but to reiderate you can use the old fabric as a template for cutting and fitting your new fabric. As far as the lights go I would just spend a few more dollars and buy the bulbs rather than paint because its easier and theres less risk involved.

i got a civic 96 cx and changed mine to red fabric and it look great ;) ..... you'll need around 1 yard of fabric "got mines from walmart", and i think you need 30 screws at is 1/2"for the replacement. Also you need 3m adhesive spray can bottle.Take your time and it well look good....
