i bought a turbo from a guy, he said it was a T3. but when i have ordered stuff for it they dont fit (downpipe, gasket) i think it could be a t3/t4. is there any way to tell what the size is and all that. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks it is a turbonetics turbo

im guessing 5 bolt exhaust flange?

there are 2 different sizes, both are t3. they look pretty much identical except one is slightly bigger.

a t3/t4 would have a t3 exhaust side and a t4 compressor side, so exhaust gaskets wouldnt differentiate between the 2

pics of turbo please.

you think its hard to find a 5 bolt exhaust flange, try finding a 6 bolt one for a T28 lol

there should be stamps on both the compressor and turbine housings...

BMC also makes the bigger 5 bolt flange

ok now im confused. i have a turbonetics turbo, but on that page its says "It does not fit the the Standard T3 Turbochargers (i.e. Turbonetics or Precision) " but the standard ones i have bought dont seem to fit.

so does this mean my turbonetics turbo has different exhuast side than normal or what????????

i have no idea. your best bet for a downpipe is going to a local exhaust shop and having them custom make you one
