swapped my Si rear discs this past weekend, as well as my omnipower LCAs. here are some pics during the process. I can't wait to buy some rims this spring and show off those blingin' rear discs, lol! :D

Nice I'm looking to do that in the spring. How much did it set you back? Shouldn't have been too expensive.

rear discs/si rear sway bar/si proportioning valve $325

integra rear caliper and bracket (one of the Si's were missing) $60

stainless steel brake lines all around $100

new pads/rotors/wheel studs for the rear $90

miscellaenous nuts and bolts $40

Si e-brake cables $80
--------------------------------
TOTAL $695 roughly (and that's without the price of the LCAs)

the initial $325 sounded great, but then you start adding up all the little stuff and the total grows quick.

LOL.

it was basically a weekend project. i worked on it for maybe 7-8 hours on Saturday, and a couple hours on Sunday. maybe 10-11 hours total. I didn't really have anything else to do, so I took my time working on it and had my dad help me (to spend some time with him).

probably could have gone faster, but we got stuck on a few different things. i'm just happy to finally have them installed. these brakes were the first thing i bought after i picked up my car last April, and they are just now being bolted on, 6 months later.

wow that's kinda steep
yeah. like i said, the initial $325 wasn't bad for the conversion, but then i had to start replacing parts and buying more stuff. i probably could have just turned the rotors, and maybe gotten by with using the pads it came with, but i wanted to just replace everything. same with the wheel studs. i took the entire brake assembly apart and cleaned it up, installed new studs, etc. i also bought some new hardware to replace the nasty rusty stuff i had on my car.

so yeah, people have spent less on this conversion, but i'm happy with what i got.

Nice. Air tools are your friend ;)
At least you had fun doing it, sometimes thats just as important. Now that I think about it I probably would replace everything too so I guess it would be that expensive

i wish i had air tools, that would have made it a lot easier. some of the bolts were almost impossible to take out.

as far as the expense goes, some people might not think its worth it, but it is an improvement in brakes, and a set of discs always looks better behind rims than a rusty set of drums. the other reason i did this was because not as many do the swap. its somewhat of a hard item to find, so its kind of unique in that respect.

no way, man, gotta rep the 96-98, lol.

i like my front end, but it definitely needs a new lip. i'm leaning towards a CTR lip.
