Wassup. I wanted to know if anyone had any info and experience with swapping four door rear handles to the front of a 93 civic. Or the front of a four door civic.

I just tried today, and come to find out. The two 10mm nuts that hold the Front keyhole door handles are positioned differently than the four door's rear handles. So, I could only have one side screwed in (inner left). As for the right side, my friend said we have to make a metal piece to hold the second nut. Just that we gotta make sure it isn't too big or else the window won't close.

And another thing, the rear handle isn't a perfect fit. It has a tiny gap. Nothin' too obvious. But it is a little smaller than the front keyhole handles. She still works good though. I put back the front keyhole handle because I couldn't screw in the other side of the handle. If any of you have more info on this. It would be greatly appreciated.

As of now, my passenger door handle's keyhole is unfunctional. So basically it's the same thing as I wanted, although, I don't want that keyhole there. And if you take out the metal bar that holds onto the keyhole lock (to unlock/lock the car) and leave it in the car, it could stop the window from going down. That happened to me. I just wiggled it out. That's about all I can tell from this attempt.

Anyone did this on a 6th gen?

Cool. Be careful of thieves.. sounds like it would be easier to pull out the handles now.

Yea I read up on that, but you know how the ej1 civic is different from the 89-92(?) accord. As far as 6th gens. The rear door handles should be a direct bolt on.
