Rear JDM emblem fitment

I got a legit JDM emblem set for my 97 EJ8. The back emblem doesnt fit properly due to the fact that its a coupe and the TR is a hatch. So any good tricks to make it fit better? I was thinking of putting 3M emblem adhesive around the edges to hold it, but i dont think thats a great idea, I'm scared that if i hit a bump or anything driving down the road it will fall off. What tricks have you guys used?

Double sided tape should work or get one from a sedan

Since Im not sure what exact emblem you purchased, I only assume being from a hatch that the JDM emblem is curved, thus causing the placement problem. If thats the case, you may wish to consider carefully heating the emblem enough to slowly flatten it out so itll mount flat. A picture of them exact emblem would make it easier to offer suggestions.
