Hi guys, i know this is not the section to ask this question but i tried in the HOW TO section and I'm not permitted so i came here.Could anyone give me pointers as to how to change the rear shocks on 96-99 civic hatchback as I've never done this before. What i would like to know is do i have to take out the back seats or what to get access to these shocks so that i can take them out.And are Monroe shocks good to use on this car. Thanks guys.

rear seats stay in.. remove the back of the trunk interior so that the top of the shocks are exposed (same place where you would put a rear strut bar)-- take off the nuts from both sides--take off your rear wheels and i forget which ones but there are a buncha bolts you gotta take off on your suspension setup and then wut u need to do is pull down on the braking system so it makes clearance for the shock to be pulled down and off the car -- u will most likely need someone to help you out--you will also need a spring compressor to compress the spring when removing them from your old shocks otherwise you could catch the top of the shock in your eye and that wouldnt be pretty
