Rear Speaker Connection

Hi, I am new to Honda's like 3 weeks new. I have a 95 Dx. All Stock. I am looking at putting in rear speakers but it looks as if there were never any installed from factory. So, I guess i am asking did some models not have speakers? I just do not see any wires connectors, but I did see a harness, but assumed it was for the lights. Also what are the color codes on the wires. I have done this on Many different GM Models. Thanks for your time and help.

They all should have come with rear speakers...are you looking in the right place?

With the civc, you're going to have to pull off the entire rear deck in order to change them out. At least thats what you have to do with the 96-00 civic's.

I know 88-91 had a base audio system that did not come with rear speakers

I don't know about yours

No, some models didnt come w/a radio/speakers. Even some of the new 8th Gen DX's dont have radios/speakers. Is yours a coupe/sedan, or a hatch?

I have a 95 Dx Sedan, factory radio w/tape. The radio has fade front to rear. ??? I have replaced the front speakers already, No problem there. I have pulled out the Rear deck, the cut-out for the speakers are there, just no connectors.

hmm...thats interesting. You might have to wire in some yourself.

Ok, here is the deal. I did a little more investigating. When I originally pulled off the rear deck only seen wires. nothing leading to the speakers. I just went back out pulled out the radio all the output wires are there. once again I pulled off the rear deck and looked deeper I found a connector it was taped as if it came from the factory that way (which would explain why I did not see it the first time) found the connectors.

Now my question is what are the color codes?
