Rear Speaker Question

Hey guys, im thinking about putting in some new 6x9 3-way Pioneer speakers to replace my stock ones in the back. I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe, and i was just wondering would i need anything else besides just the speakers themselves? And any tips if possible.

Well, you wouldnt necessarily need them, but speaker wiring harnesses could help you a lot with wiring. Otherwise im not sure if the coupe has 6x6 or 6x9 rears. I know the hatch is 6x9 but im thinking the coupe might be 6x6 so i would check that out quick. I would for you, but im on my phone.

If you buy them new it should come with everything you need

It's gonna be a pain in the ass to do though. I did mine a couple months ago, you have to take out your rear seats and all the rear and side panels

I actually have to go and fix mine because my seatbelt got stuck behind the panel..

Sounds like doing anything audio related with the 96-00 civic is a pain, i just wanna make sure i don't need a wire harness bc it would suck to find out after removing the panel and stuff.

^^ not really, just the rear speakers IMO. They should be 6x9s. Pull the bottom rear seat off, fold down the top part of the rear seats, unbolt the top seat belt bolt on both sides, pull the B pillar plastics off both sides*, unhook the 3rd brake light, pull the plastic rear speaker off. Have fun ;)

*I don't pull the entire B pillar plastics off the car. Just pop them free enough to get the rear speaker cover plastic off.
