I'm looking for a Suspension Techniques rear sway model 51145 for my 97 EX. I found one place that sells them but they seem sketchy. No SSL on the order form and stuff. All other places sell the kits but I picked up a front on Ebay for $100 so I'm looking to complete the set.

I would atleast get a rear sway/tie bar combonition.

You could go with a 19mm sway/tie bar combo from SRR for 205 or....

Buy yourself a 22mm comptech sway/tie bar combo. A lot of your Understeer will DISAPPEAR. I have mine and I love it.

How big is Suspension Techniques?

Comptech and Progress both make a 22mm that does not cause subframe tear-out. That is normally caused by using a 22mm ITR sway bar on a 6G civic.

Honda-tech.com (Sposor marketplace) or something has them there for that price. \

I have virtually no problems with my comptech tie/sway combo. SRR would have been my first choice but I found a really good deal on my bar that's why I decided to go with it.

The deal isn't bad, but the way how the sway bar is mounted, is questionable. If you notice, the SRR sway bar mounts in the same fashion as the stock rear sway bar. It has a bracket that holds the sway bar that does not mount flat onto the subframe.

The Beak's kit was suppose to reinforce the subframe by distributing the stress applied by the sway bar by spreading it across the whole subframe (and it makes the sway bar have a flat mounting area). I woudn't doubt this could lead to some potential tearouts, but this isn't a 22mm bar (19mm only) and could be different.

Anyone with any real experience with the SRR sway and tie bar?

Yes, if you look at it, the part where the sway bar mounts onto is protruding and not flat with the subframe. I still think it's looks like a knockoff of the SRR.

Here's what the SRR looks like.

I rather hear from someone who has acutual experience with the product however, I wouldn't jump to conclusions that it tears out your subframe. I just have some speculations.
