Hey all. My trunk has been getting heavy water when it rains and I found the hole where it is coming in from inside but I can't figure out where it's coming from. I do know that my rear window/back glass rubber strip around it has a n inch chipped away from the lower passengers corner, right where it meets the trunk almost. And also, the rubber strip is breaking in the upper passengers side corner, but I haven't had any leak inside the back seats or anything.
So I know different models have different weather stripping or trim, and some newer ones don't even have it. So I was wondering if this rubber trim is a functional weatherstripping that helps keep water out or if it is just more for looks?
I do want to replace it though on a separate note, how can I replace this strip? I hope it just pops on around the window and doesn't have a lip that runs underneath (have to remove window). Do any of you all know? I can't find anything on this subject on google for 6th gen coupe back window. I'll try to post pics in the morning.
