Have u tried taking it down the track to see how consistent it is?
Either that or a dyno.

The ass dyno (aka sitting in the car driving it) is usually not very effective.

5psi is a lot more then you guys make it out to be ;) If I ran a 5psi set up on my vette Id be looking at over 450 wheel! friend of mine is running a dismal 13 PSI and makes close to 1000 wheel! :D Everythings relative!

5 psi sounds safe and DD'able to me! :D I say either you hurt something or like above... You are just getting used to it...

wow your retarded.... 5 psi on a vet is different than 5 psi on a lil 1.6.

as to the op, if you've never had a boosted vehicle, your probably just getting used to it. I highly doubt you hurt anything internal with that much boost.

Agreed again, you either simply got use to it or the motor is hurt. If the motor still runs perfectly fine and there are no signs of damage other than it "feeling slower"...then chances are your simply used to it. Turn the boost up, retune, have fun...and get use to it again.

My car gained close to 40whp going from 14 psi to 17 psi. 5psi is going to make a difference for all of you retards that think it wont.

Do a compression test and see where youre at. It could also be that you have new tires or something dumb.

not saying you wont def feel a difference from nothing to 5....but you do get used to it. hell even mine feels slow and i went from nothing to 10....and theres nothing wrong with the motor or turbo. runs constants, and at 5 i highly doubt anything internal could of gone wrong....like i said before

Please don't derail this thread by filling it with argumentative posts.
You should delete them. ;)

OP, I say before you start tearing your build apart for an issue, find a less subjective method of measurement than feel. As we've said, take it to the track or dyno.

yea maybe im just getting used to it... it still pulls but my bosot gauge dosent just jump directly to 5 psi and for that low ammount of boost id think 5 psi would hit instant. it slowly creeps to 5 psi within a 1k rpm range mostly between 3500-4500 im thinking maybe my turbo manifold gasket to the head has a small leak in it. ill give some things a try and repost. maybe it is nothing but this isnt my first turbo car so when i say it feels slower then its a noticeable slower.

ahh, a mani leak would def cause a lag, go back and re-tighten everything and see what happens.
