Recovering Del Sol seats?

Anyone ever had the fabric off their del sols? I'm contemplating stripping mine down bc of a few cig burns and the fabric always, always makes me sweat in the summer. 10 1/2 hr drive to georgia proved that.

I got a few books on upholstery and I'm okay with a sewing machine and have a mom and sister that are damn good. Just curious if anyones had any apart or recovered any seats on their own. I'm not paying a shop for seats I'm gonna sit in EVERYDAY and get dirty and used...

ive taken some apart to fix broken frames.the covers usually slide off after undoing some wire clips or zipper.never went any further.i admire your willingness.i guess you could make patterns from the old ones.

That's what I'm figuring on doing. I've put new covers on a subaru at my old job, those hog rings can be a mother F*ck. Putting them back on isn't too bad. I guess I'll just look and see...

I tried it and the foam sticks and chunks off so I paid a pro do recover them

$200 for the rear and $175 for each front
