red/clear tail lights install issue

Ran into some issues when installing my red on clear tail lights....

2 corner pieces:

- Is there a proper way to install the corner piece of the tail lights? the portion that goes into the actual body fram e of the car, not the portion of the tail light on the trunk door. reason why i ask is because the corner pieces didn't have a tight snug fit. the bottom corner of the white portion pokes out. so when you run ur fingers up and down the corner u feel it poking out rather than sitting flat and flush with the rest of the car frame. is there a routine to screwing the bolts in? like start from the outter bolts than screw in the inner bolts? or vice versa?

2 pieces on the trunk door:

- amber lights were in the red reflector portion ....and clear bulbs were in the white portion (reverse light section). are there supposed to be amber bulbs in the red section???

wiring:

I tested out my tail lights, signals and hazards.both top (red) and bottom (clear) portion of the left CORNER tail light blinks when i turn on my left signal.....as well as the rear wind shield brake light (the light thats inside the car). those 3 lights blink. UGH WTF IS GOING ON!

Yea, line up the mount studs, put the nut on and screw them down. Make sure you only have one tail light gasket on. Are these OEM Honda lights or aftermarket?

They use clear bulbs usually but it doesn't matter if they are amber or not. They will still shine red out of the red portion of the tail light.

I don't know how a simple swap out of tail lights could lead to wiring problems like this.

yeah i thought it over, my dad is friends witha old mechanic. and before my inspection he had swapped the lighting wires so my spoiler break light wouldnt be the one showing up when i press on the brake....and rather have the break light in the rear window light up. he said its by "law" that the read break in the window has to be lightened up when the break is on. so i'm pretty sure he f**ked up all the rest.

cause the whole right tail light blinks when i do my signal light. including the break light inside the rear window......
