well i figured out that my car is wired for a security system and remote start, but the problem is the previous owner pulled the fuse because "my 4 ways were goin off every 5 seconds" so my guess is he didnt do the sesors properly. anyway, i dont know much about wiring so if i took it to best buy or Honda or some place that knows how do wire in a security system, do you think they could just hook the system back up? like if i explained to them all i want is for you to re-set up my security system so it isnt too sensitive and re-set up my remote start? because they were installed priviously, but the owner decided to cut the wire for the horn so now not only does my car not have keyless entry, not have a security system, not have remote start, the horn doesnt work. so considering i really dont know what im doing, where would be the best place to take my car? best buy, honda, etc?

Go through your phone book or online and find a local electronics shop that will install it. My experience has been it's best to stear clear of the big chain places like best buy

I'd take it to Best Buy over Honda anyday. best Buy probably will not only be cheaper, but they probably install more security systems than Honda does.

:wstupid: find a small shop to do the work. my overall experience with B/B and other chain stores has been shitty. when it comes to installs the smaller places take their time with the work and dont rush you out the door.

your best bet is to just get a whole new system.the system thats in your car is probaly not worth hooking up and the new systems out there can do so much more, like two way paging and what not. i work at one of the "big chain stores" as an installer and i've seen more half assed jobs come out of smaller shops then i can count. when ever i do an alarm or remote start i take my time and do it right. i'm sure their are big chain stores that do crappy work, but that happens everywhere you go.

best buy sucks ass, i used to work for them (computer repair) and i knew guys in wi-fi whom said that they always f**ked up installs and never did one the certified way, they run costs so that it would be cheaper for them and "ok" on the install.

I paid my boy to do it for me 100$ and a case of beer and we did it in a day..4-way plus remote start.
