I have had remote start on my car for about 3 months now, and one thing that bugs me is that it doesnt turn on the radio or the climate control. is there a way to fix that? Its going to get cold outside soon, so i want to be nice and warm in the winter.
Thanks

Set you heat on and your radio the night before you want to remote start the next morning.

yeah, your accesory wire is not connected, because it's kinda ... physically impossible for a car to start without sending power to the accesories unless something's WRONG.

A remote start will heat up your car if properely instaleed. You do have to leave the heater controls on from the night before to warm it up.
You can turn the radio on by wiring up a couple of relay networks. My suggestion on that is dont be lazy and turn the radio on when you get in the car

hahah, i wasnt trying to be lazy... my friend has his system hooked up and it is nice to hear your music a mile away when your not in your car. lol.

... my Audiovox turned on my stereo... sure, I guess you're being reassured that your s**t is loud is okay... but kinda stupid since you're really just showing it off. ;)

but my Viper doesn't do it until you put the keys in the ignition.. and that seems like a smart feature to me. I wouldn't want to start my car 10 mins before I leave just to show off the stereo and possibly entice someone to steal my s**t... again.

like everyone else said... if it's hooked up right, it'll at least turn on your climate controls, but you DO have to leave it at the setting you want it the night before. =) now, when they make a climate sensing alarm that bypasses the controls... let me know. :D

i know about having to leave the controls on overnight, but i would only mess with remote start while in a parking lot, such as startbucks... just kinda chillin.. lol. i wouldent leave my faceplate on in the first place if i were leaving my car for a long period of time.

not hooked up correctly if the climate control doesn't work, that is the main purpose of the auto start, well and too have your motor warm too, i'd take it back to where you got it installed, since DEI products have to be installed by dei tech or else the warranty is void, make them fix your s**t, and the radio stuff is just stupid if you ask me Akiahara said it just right, why show someone what they can steal??
