i just bought a new tach, and am trying to attach it to the a pillar...but cant get it off to drill a hole in it...does anyone know a way to get it off??

dude, dont worry about taking it off, you have 2 screws to mount right, or is it 2 bolts, if its 2 screws, dont bother drilling, it will weaken the setup, just screw the bracket in, then bolt the tach onto the bracket, voila u have urself a tach, plz say its not a 5" monster tach, please tell me u got a smaller one lol

unless ur going all out dragyeah...it is a monster tach..but you cant beat the price...74 bucks...the car will be ran at the track though..but i dont wanna just drill through it...cause i dunno whats on the other side...and i dont wanna use those screws that came with it...i'd rather bolt it on.
the pillars just snap off and on. u have to remove the rubber liner (w/e its called) that outlines the door opening, it should just pull off as well. once thats off u should just be able to pop off the plastic pillar. there's usually not anything behind there unless someone added something there. i'm pretty sure the 6th gens are just like the 5th's
