Removing drivers side fender

K, I'm going to replace the wiring harness for my whole drivers side door. My power door locks haven't been working and this is my next thing to replace. I've already checked fuses and replaced the power door lock control module and nothing worked. I think it is the wiring in the door jam cuz when it was cold out this winter the door locks started not working again and then stopped working altogether. It did the same thing 2 years ago but when it warmed up they started working again but there dead now. So, how do I go about removing the fenders? Do I just take all of the bolts/screws off? Anything else I need to know?
Thanks
L.

hmm... im not sure if i am misunderstanding you, or if you are just using the wrong words to describe your question. if i read you right, you dont need to take off the exterior fender to work on the window/lock/wiring stuff. you need to take off the interior door panel. the screws on the panel are pretty obvious, you will have to unplug the window wires and door lock wires (assuming you have power windows and locks). then there is some plastic covering glued over the actual frame of the door. you can just cut this off... its relatively useless, just sound deadening material. then you will/should have access to everything in the door.

hope that helps. im sorry if i completely misunderstood you and gave directions for something else. =)

actually that plastic cover is a moisture barrier, not necessary but useful. That sheet of plastic doesn't stop noise

Yeah, I do need to remove the front fender. Do this. Open your door all the way. Look in the fender between the front of the door. There is a plug there that is for all of the doors wiring. I need to remove that and plug in a new one. The only way looks to do this is remove the fender.
