i need to know how to remove both the needles from an 01 civic gauge cluster and how to, if possible, remove the red coloring from the back of the gauges. heard there was a diy floating around here somewhere but i can't find it for the life of me.

Thanks,
Ben

Simple you can't!

I don't care what any other person thinks, it's not possible unless you want to replace a whole gauge.

:word: even if you did get them out and back in, it wouldn't work right.

To pull the needles off use 2 flathead screw drivers and pry up on opposite sides with steady pressure. Now the problem that you will face is when you go to put them back on. How will you know where the needle is supposed to point?
