Replaced ecu and now dx is hard to cold start

Alright, this is my first time posting....

I just bought a 96 dx hatch sohc that I recently found was being ran with a P2P ecu. Even with the wrong ecu, the car was starting and running, though it had idle and mpg issues. Well, I just bought a used P2E ecu and hooked it up today. Now, when I go to start it up, it will turn over then die. I have to give it a lil gas to keep it running at first when I'm idling. After it warms up, though, it does fine, other than just a rough idle. I've tried to research this, and between what I've found and what knowledge I already have, my first guess would be my iacv. Any help in this would really appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, so I apologize bc I believe I just figured out the problem which leads me to another question. I've got a 2- wire iacv that was compatible with the p2p ecu, but not the p2e. So, my question now... what exactly is the best way to fix this issue? It's a y7 non-vtec m/t engine. The iacv is on the intake mani, and again running 2-wire to an ecu needing the 3-wire...

2 things.
1. Before you post asking for any help, introduction. Standard procedure on any forum. First post should be a 'hi my name is' post. Just to be formal.
2. When you say you were having problems with the other ecu explain more. Cause if it was fine with the other ecu, if it ain't broke, don't fix it man.

sent from my AWESOME SIDEKICK!

Yeah, your right. Sorry about that. Lol. My names Brian. Well the ecu that the car came with was for a v-tec. An Ex model, I believe.. I had a mechanic hook it up and pull the codes... And not only was it throwing v-tec codes, but I had about 5 different electrical issues at once. So, my mechanic tells me the ecu is on the fritz. This is where I realized it wasn't the right ecu for my model, due to researching and shopping around. This, of course leading me to get the ecu I have now. This is my first civic, and I'm wanting to restore it. I've already learned quite a bit in this process, but as you can see, I've still got a ways to go. Lol.
