Hey all

Ok well let me first say I suck with electrical..my friend did most of the wiring on my fog lights I just mounted them on the bumper =P..

anyway My driver side fog bulb went out yesterday and I took the bumper off to investigate. I figured out that you can't replace it from the front, you have to remove the rear housing and 600 other screws. So then bought an H3 bulb down at kragen, I assume its the same one they look the same. Anyways it has a white nylon wire coming out of it, about an inch or two long, with a prong on the end of it. But my current fogs have both a black nylon wire and a white nylon wire. And they are all taped up and they go into a plastic socket (male), which then runs up through the engine bay of course.

My question is how do I put the new bulb in. Or in other words how many noobs does it take to screw in a light bulb. It for an EG front end if that helps.

Help is appreciated ;)

well what i did on my 99s was cut the prongs off the new bulb and also cut the white wire on the old bulb about 2 inches away from the connector and connect the wire from the new bulb with the wire from the connector together. i didn't wanna find a prong the same exact size as the one in the connector.. the black wire is held down by the screw that holds the bulb in place. it has the little circle connector.. you'll see when u take it apart.. its very simple actually.

--- i used the word connect/connector a million times in that post.

^^

That prong on the end of it is called a male spade connector. You could pick up a female spade connector and crimp that onto the wire thats running power to the fogs so that it's "back to normal". If not, you can do what b16 here said.
