reseting an ECU

I was wondering if anyone knows how to reset an ECU on a 96 Civic Ex. It would be a big help to me. Thanks

unplug the battery for like 5-10 minutes, after that let the car idle for like 7-10 minutes

I don't know if it worked or not. After unpluging the battery for 10 minuntes, I put it back together. When I started the car it did nothing different. It was like every other start up. I thought that the car was supposed to run a little weird until the ECU corrected itself. What do you think?

just do that then let the car idle for 10 min
