Nah. All you have to do is remove the gauge cluster and pry off the clear plastic cover. Take out all the screws on the front of the gauges and CAREFULLY!!! slide the new gauge faces over the needles. You can actually bend them slightly. Some manufacters include double sided tape so you can use that as well. Those are el gauges so you will have to cut a few small holes in the bottom of the clear plastic cover for the wires to go through.Then mount your transformer and connect your ign power and ground and your all set. It's pretty easy. Good luck!
It's extremely simple. I was very surprised. Instead of cutting a hole in the bezel, I simply snapped the cover over top of the wires and crimped them a little bit. I wired mine to the 10 amp fuse to the parking lights. Just make sure to get a good ground.
